Scotty and Kelly Hanging in BillBoard Top 100, Carrie starts off with strong sales

Now that both Kelly Clarkson's "Stronger" and Scotty McCreery's "Clear As Day" have both been released for over 6 months, we can say that both the first and the latest Idol winners have done well with their sales. "Stronger" has now stayed in the BillBoard Top 50 for her first 6 months, with sales this week of 10K to put it at #41 and total sales of 766K. "Clear As Day" has been out for 30 weeks now, and despite falling into the 60's and 70's on the charts, it continues to sell another 6K units this week, enough to keep it at #78 and to bring its grand total to 1.035M.

Next week Carrie Underwood's "Blown Away" will enter the BillBoard chart easily at #1, with estimated sales of 275K to 295K. That should hopefully put three American Idol winners in the Top 100 next week.
