I was happy to see that Phillip Phillip's third week of sales also meant three straight weeks that Brian Mansfield has posted
official numbers to the USA Today Idol Chatter blog. That means numbers for Kelly Clarkson's "Greatest Hits-Chapter 1" which saw only a slight sales drop (down 13% to 21K for the week) which brings her total to 120K for her compilation which falls slightly to #36 on the BillBoard chart. Of the four American Idol winners on the chart right now, Kelly's album looks like the one losing the most sales steam right now, but her numbers should stay good for the next few weeks since greatest hits albums make great Christmas gifts! Her green line on the above graph is now starting to become more distinctly visible.

Looking at Brian's list of albums, there are nine listed, and once again three of the Idols have more than one album listed. Not only is Scotty McCreery's "Clear As Day" listed (3K more for 1.133M total) and Kelly's "Stronger" (4K more for a total of 987K), but Carrie Underwood actually has
THREE albums on the list this week. Along with "Blown Away", "Some Hearts" continued to sell another 3K (for a staggering total of 7.274M) and "Play On" even showed up with sales of 2K to bring that album's total up to 2.155M. So Carrie had three platinum albums that each sold over 2K copies this week. That is quite impressive. With his ACA appearance and nomination, Casey James also sold another 1,000 of his debut album to bring its total sales to 62K.
