A Very Merry Christmas for American Idol Winners Album Sales!

Christmas 2012 is now over and it was another very strong week of sales for all the American Idol winners, from the very first one to the last two. Leading the pack was Phillip Phillips' "World from the Side of the Moon" which stayed solid at #7 on the Billboard chart with another 98K in sales to put his total at 475K and an obvious gold certification. His sales trend for his debut album is now trending faster than Scotty McCreery's "Clear As Day" from last year, but I do not think Scotty is complaining this week. He again has two albums on the BillBoard Top 200, with "Christmas With Scotty McCreery" at #32 on the BillBoard chart with another good sales week of 48K to put its total at 337K, and "Clear As Day" selling another 8K to puts its total at #183 with total sales now of 1.145M.
Not to be left out of the picture as usual are Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson. Kelly also has two albums on the Top 200 with her new greatest hits album at #40 and "Stronger" on at #173. Carrie sees her "Blown Away" album at #21, selling another 58K and putting her total at 1.166M, now surpassing the total for "Clear As Day".

Those are good numbers for everybody and great final numbers for American Idol winners for 2012.
