Wow, this was a good week for just about every American Idol winner still on the
BillBoard 200 (the same four from last week.) All 4 of them moved up the chart to a better position. Leading the pack again is Philli Phillips who improved his chart position for the second week in a row. After being #76 two weeks ago, he improved to #39 last week and #34 this week, his 33rd on the chart. According to a
posting on MJ's his total sales for "The World From the Side of the Moon" has total sales now of 928K, putting him ever so close to being the second Idol winner in a row to debut with a platinum selling album (following Scotty McCreery's "Clear As Day", of course.) I am not holding my breath to see if Candice Glover will make it three in a row.
As for the other Idol winners on the chart, Fantasia's "Side Effects of You" improved from #59 to #51, Carrie Underwood's "Blown Away" improved from #84 to #79 (after 62 weeks!) and Kelly Clarkson's "Greatest Hits" Chapter One" improved to #84 from #92. Good news for everybody!
