The Closest Top 2 Ladies in American Idol History -- And Nobody Really Cares!

Now that it is Kree Harrison against Candice Glover in the American Idol Season 12 Finale, it seems like nobody cares enough to use DialIdol to vote for them. Last week, Angie Miller was the main recipient of DialIdol votes, and this week, one hour after the show has ended the total number of votes cast via DialIdol for Candice and Kree is barely 4,000 total votes with 165 busy signals. They really do not need four different phone lines for each one of them! Last week there had been about 10,000 votes (and almost 500 busy signals) using DialIdol after an hour, but most of them were for Angie. With so few votes cast, I am not sure how valid this year's DialIdol numbers will be. In the past DialIdol had always been able to correctly pick the winner in the past on Top 2 week. But this year it may not be so clear cut. Right now it is picking Candice as the winner using its DialIdol score:

But Candice only averages about 350 votes or so on each of her four phone lines. Last week an hour after the show she had vote totals of 1,100 on two lines and over 500 on the third. She is receiving substantially less votes this week than last week! Last week Candice and Kree had about the same number of total votes case after an hour via DialIdol (Candice actually had slightly more), but this week Kree is receiving substantially more.

So what does it mean? Does anybody know? Does anybody care? In previous years I kind of cared who was going to win, but this year I like both Kree and Candice about the same. They are both very talented vocalists and may both succeed in musical careers whether they win or end up as runner up. I do not think it really matters much any more. I probably will not even vote tonight, I care so little, so I can just get some sleep!
