American Idol Top 3: Morning After Numbers Do Not Compare To Last Year

I was curious again to see if the total DialIdol voting would match the numbers from last week, but then I remembered that they were combining the two week totals for the Top 4, and that must have been what DialIdol did as well. They listed about 45,000 total votes last week for the Top 4 and about 23,000 this week for the Top 3, so I guess that 45K number must really be for the two Top 4 weeks combined. In that case the total voting is more in line with last week than I expected. In fact, to be fair I should reduced my totals for last week by the numbers from the first Top 4 to get a more accurate reading in my busy signal chart. I added Candice Glover in too now that there are just three contestants remaining:
So Kree Harrison seems to be receiving a large dose of busy signals again, although both Angie Miller and Candice Glover received a large increase of busy signals from last week, even with a third phone number for each one of them. However, the grand total number of busy signals for this week, 645, is only a small fraction of the numbers of busy signals winners from other seasons received. Just comparing to last year, there were almost 70,000 attempted phone votes cast last year in Top 3 week with Phillip Phillips voters hitting nearly 7,000 busy signals, Jessica Sanchez voters hitting nearly 3,000 busies and Joshua Ledet voters receiving nearly 1,500. This year about 1/3 of the total votes were cast using DialIdol (23K vs. 69K) but the number of busy signals were not 1/3 of last years total, but only about 1/20 of the number of total busy signals (645 vs. 11,792). Yikes, those are some numbers Ryan will not be announcing!

As for the WhatNotToSing web ratings, the general Internet consensus is that Candice Glover won the evening performance wise, and Kree Harrison was probably at the bottom:
If we average the three performances for each contestant we can rank them:

1) Candice: 87+58+48 = 193 => 64.3
2) Angie: 68+61+43 = 172 => 57.3
3) Kree: 76+41+30 = 147 => 49

So if I add those to my WNTS graph:
The trend does not look good for Kree, and looks better for Angie. Candice has received consistently strong marks and ending the show on her best performance of the evening should help her voting the most. I think Kree is probably the contestant most at jeopardy tonight.
