It is finale week on American Idol Season 12, and the Top Two are down to Candice Glover and Kree Harrison. Yeah, I know it is not too exciting this year, but I still had to check the latest
betting odds on who the betting public think will win. It seems that Candice is still the 5/9 (0.56) favorite to win with Kree coming in at 7/5 (1.2) odds. I was curious how their odds matched up to both the
Phillip-Jessica matchup last year and the
Scotty-Lauren matchup in Season 10:
Phillip Phillips was a 4/13 (0.31) favorite over Jessica Sanchez at 5/2 (2.5) and Scotty McCreery was a 1/5 (0.20) favorite over Lauren Alaina 3/1, so in comparison, this is a much closer match, and I still believe it could go either way. Plus with Angie Miller's elimination last week, I do not have as much faith in the odds makers this year as I did the past two seasons where it was much more obvious who would win. I actually would put my money on Kree just because she would be the favorite among country fans. In any case here is the final betting odds trend for the Season:
This has been a much closer season between the Top 3 finalists, but for some reason it has seemed a lot less exciting than the previous seasons. In a few more days it will be over, and we can see how they do with their original singles.
