American Idol Season 11 Winner Phillip Phillips sees his album "The World From The Side of the Moon" remain in the
BillBoard Top 20 for a tenth consecutive week. With sales of 19K this week, he sits at #16 with 663K in total sales. Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson continue to battle for chart positions week after week, and this week Carrie's "Blown Away" narrowly leads Kelly's "Greatest Hits" effort. Both sold about 10K units, but Carrie placed at #37 and Kelly is at #40. Interestingly, both passed quarter million plateaus this week with blown away squeaking past 1 and 1/4 million to end at 1.257M and Kelly's compilation landing precisely at 250K.
This week Colton Dixon's "A Messenger" has been released and the current
Hits Daily Double prediction sees his first week sales being 17K to 20K. So he may possibly lead the American Idol pack next week, depending if Phillip sees his sales going up or down. It should be close!
It is odd this year in that Season 12 is well into the auditions and the only albums out from the previous season contestants are from the winner and now the 7th place finisher.
