Now that the Top 13 are set we should start seeing some betting odds appear online. Sure enough at
osga.com I found the
opening odds for the remaining 13 contestants:
I found it interesting that the two odds placing sites listed are slightly different on their favorites and their rankings.
Pinnacle puts Jessica Sanchez as the favorite, whereas
Bovada has Phillip Phillips first. The names on the image above are ranked following the ordering on the Bovada odds (from the image at the time, it may have changed by now), some of which seem strange to me, especially Shannon as the second favorite, and Skylar and Elise being ranked so far down the line. The Pinnacle oddsmakers definitely tend to favorite the ladies better and Bovada prefers the guys more. Nonetheless, both sites place DeAndre, Erika and Jeremy (the wild cards) as the least likely to win, which makes a lot of sense. It will be interesting to see if one of them is the first to be eliminated this week.
